You're Alive Do Something

Today I came across a wall.
It is a wall I've driven past it numerous times,
but not until today did I notice that it was covered
 with "good" graffitti.
I NEVER WALK ALONE. LOVE
It is covered with messages of hope and love.
You know those moments where you feel loved,
really feel loved by God?
It was one of those.
YOU'RE ALIVE DO SOMETHING
I fell in love with this wall.
There were many spiritual messages on the wall,
but the ones I've chosen were the ones
that held the most meaning for me today.
THE WIND RAGES BUT YOU STAND FIRM
If I would go back tomorrow it could be something
else on the wall that captures my attention.
BEING IS BELIEVING
What a wise use of a wall.
HEAL ME USE ME TO HEAL OTHERS
The picture of the hands was particularly meaningful as I felt as if I was
reaching out to touch the hand of God.
Believe.
I believe. Do you?
HOPE

    1. Hope Lutheran Church is located at 925 Jordan Creek Parkway in West Des Moines. This wall is located on the west edge of their property, along Jordan Creek Parkway. If you pull into their parking lot you can see the side I took photos of, although the side facing the street is also covered with "good" graffiti. Hope you can find it and enjoy it.

  2. Dear Alice

Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos with the world! I happen upon your blog because I was searching for an image to use on my Asian Fellowship Camping Program cover. Our theme this year is "Do Something!" and your photo is just perfect for that! Could I have permission to use the "You're Alive/ Do Something" image on my program? Our fellowship is part of North Park Community Church located in London, Canada. We are a non-profit group and just want to connect people to Jesus. You can find out more about our fellowship on our Facebook Page http://www.facebook.com/northparkaf. I can email you my cover if you like. This year we have a total of 70 people going camping which is about double of last year! Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Thanks & God Bless!
    Irene

P.S. I too am a stay at home mom with 1 son and 1 daughter and I studied to be an elementary teacher but never officially had a job at a school due to various reasons. I'm teaching Sunday School and have been teaching various groups in church for about 20 years now! I am an artist as well. My first degree was Fine Art. Though I do a lot of work on computer these days. I also love to sing!

P.P.S. In case you're wondering, I will send an email with the program attached to the 70 campers and will print out 11 copies for use at the campsite. If I have your permission, I will also put the cover design on the fellowship's Facebook page.
