Plymouth Stained Glass Window

Today's photo comes from

Plymouth Congregational Church

in Des Moines. They were kind enough

to let me take photos of their beautiful

church and stained glass windows.

This particular window is one of my

favorites. On the other hand, I have

lots of favorites in this church.

have room for in the show.

I took this photo in Rochester

(the Minnesota one, not the New York city)

while at Mayo Clinic last year.

I love Rochester (and have previously

posted many photos from there) and

need to go visit again, but

just for fun and photography

this time.

No appointments,

no schedule,

no doctors

(even though they're excellent).

Just me wondering

around and taking

photos.

News Flash!

Yeah, I haven't been posting much lately.

I have a really good reason.

An exciting reason!

I'm having a photography show!

Christian Photo in Des Moines will

be showing up to 20 of my photos on their walls,

framed and ready to sell,

during the month of October.

Wow.

What an opportunity for me!

I'm excited about this,

yet get so nervous as I've been trying

to choose my very favorite photos.

It's tough.

Really tough.

Will what I like actually sell?

Deer Me

Ever since I took up the

hobby of photography,

I've always wanted to capture

some good shots of deer.

They're fast. You have to have

your camera ready. And you have

no idea when or where you'll see them.

Recently I got lucky.

In one week I saw 24 deer

in about 8 or 10 different places.

I had my camera with me and ready

some of the time.

The shots I'm posting were the best

as the fawns stood still very close to me.



Dragonflies

I love dragonflies.

I was extremely fortunate to

find these beautiful dragonflies

at Ledges State Park.

Look at the coloring

of these dragonflies.

Gorgeous.



Solar Eclipse from Iowa

On May 20, 2012 there was a solar eclipse.

Here in Iowa we had a nice view of it.

It was gorgeous.
